For years after, I trained in various aspects that I called “enlightenment”: meditation, yoga, conscious breathing, leadership, relationships, addiction, transformational and motivational public speaking, self-actualization, humanistic and transformational psychotherapy, dancing, aerobic exercise, neuroscience and more. I received my Ph.D. from The City University of New York (CUNY) as a psychologist.
When a friend told me of a job opening at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, I began working with drug addicts. I also worked as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at Ramapo College in New Jersey, where I was teaching courses in various approaches in psychotherapy as well as co-teaching interdisciplinary courses with colleagues in other departments. After ten years, I left the college and opened my full-time private practice. I also became a Business and Executive Coach, as well as Life Coach, integrating Coaching with Psychotherapy when appropriate.
I trained to be a public speaker, and soon realized I could also teach people with fear of public speaking to become fearless speakers. I have given, and continue to give, national and international workshops, as well as talks and published articles on relevant topics about personal and global transformation.
Over the years, I have served on several Boards that were relevant to the new world I had discovered: Spirit at Work, The Association for Spiritual Psychotherapy, Toastmasters, and as an Advisory Board Member of Mindfulness at Ramapo College. I have been a member of the Working Board of The Global Association for Interpersonal Neurobiology (GAINS) which integrates Spirituality and Science. Today, like LIFE UNLIMITED, I continue my own growth, bringing new ways to support my clients.
